Spyfall is a social deduction game where players are at a specific location, but one player is the Spy who doesn't know where they are. The Spy tries to figure out the location, while others try to find the Spy.

How do you win as the Spy?

The Spy wins if they remain undetected when the timer runs out, or if they correctly guess the location at any time during the game.

How do you win as a Non-Spy?

Non-Spies win by unanimously voting to identify the Spy before the timer runs out.

Core Game Flow

Role Assignment: Players check their secret role. One is the Spy; others see the Location.
Question Rounds: The timer starts (usually 8 minutes). A starting player asks someone a question.
Answering: The asked player answers, then asks a new person a question.
Accusation: At any time, a player can stop the clock to accuse someone. A unanimous vote eliminates the suspect.
Spy Guess: The Spy can reveal themselves at any time to guess the location. If correct, they win immediately!

Avoid Direct Facts: Don't ask "Is there a blackboard?" (Too obvious!).

As the Spy: The Art of Blending In

You have no idea where you are. You need to fish for information while pretending you belong.

Strategy:

Listen First: Try not to be the first to ask or answer if possible.
Give Generic Answers: If asked "How did you get here?", say "I drove" or "Took the bus" (works for many places).
Turn the Tables: When it's your turn to ask, follow up on a previous topic to seem engaged.

Mistake: Asking "What are you wearing?"

Why it's bad: It's a cliché Spyfall question that gives zero information about the location.
